This weekend 11 of our girls travelled to Robin Park Sports Arena in Wigan to compete in the 2019 North West Championships with around 400 other girls from within the region.

    All our girls did brilliantly around the apparatus with lots of beautiful routines, as always in competition there were a few falls but this did not deter our girls from continuing to perform at their best and have fun.

    MGC is now the home to 3 North West Champions!

    Daria Walsh who won Gold medals on Beam, Bars, Floor taking the overall Gold and becoming the North West Regional Level 2 Champion.

    Olivia Richardson won the Gold medal on Vault and is now the Regional 6 (Age 9) North West Champions. Also, Darcey Flanagan Won Gold medal on Vault and who also became the Regional 5 (Age 13+) Champion.

    Well done to Sydney Morby who won a bronze medal on vault.

  • Greater Manchester Success for MGC Girls

    This Weekend 10 of our gymnasts entered the 2019 Greater Manchester Championships at the Robin Park sports Centre in Wigan. All our girls performed superbly, many having new skills and for some it was their first 4 piece competition. Many personal goals achieved along with 20 Medals and a Greater Manchester Champion.

    Congratulation to:

    Daria Walsh (Level 2) 1st on Bars, 3rd on beam, 2nd on Floor and 2nd on Vault and 2nd Overall.

    Darcey Flanagan (Level 5 Age13+) 3rd on Bars, 3rd on Vault, Ist on Beam and 2nd Overall.

    Henrietta Adamson (Level 6 Age 10) 3rd on Beam

    Ayelynne Johnston (Level 6 Age 10) 3rd on Floor

    Olivia Richardson (Level 6 Age 9) 1st on Vault, 1st on Bar, 3rd on Beam, 1St on Floor and 1st Overall making her the 2019 Greater Manchester Champion.

    Poppy James (Level 6 Age 12+) 2nd on Bars and 2nd on Beam

    Sydney Morby (Level 6 Age12+) 3rd on Bars

  • Outstanding Performance by MGC Girls

    Congratulations to the 3 MGC girls who competed at the National Level Grades this weekend at the Robin Park Sports Arena in Wigan. They all achieved commendations and defiantly set some personal achievements with new skills around the apparatus.

    It was momentous record breaking weekend not only for Daria Walsh personally who placed 5th overall in the National Grade 1 age group making the team for the National Finals. She also made club history being the first member of MGC to compete her new vault (Yerchenko) in a competition environment.

    Very Well Done to you all, MGC are proud of you all.

  • 100% Success For MGC Girls

    After two long weekends of competition at the Robin Park Sports Centre in Wigan all our girls have done superbly in the North West 2019 Grades. All achieving Commendations or distinctions.

    Well done to Ayelynne Johnston and Poppy James who both gained overall Bronze medals in their respective age groups within the Greater Manchester County.

    Congratulations to Henrietta Adamson who became the Overall Greater Manchester Champion!.

  • Further Success at 2018 Greater Manchester Championships - 2 Champions & 11 Medals

    Our 7 MGC Girls took to the competiton floor at the 2018 at Robin Park in Wigan for the second weekend in a row at the 2018 Greater Manchester Championships.

    All our girls performed magnificently continuing there recent success from the last weeks North West Championships. Our 7 gymnasts successfully achieved 11 medals around the apparatus including 1 Appartus Champions and 1 Overall Champion.

    Congratulations to:

    Isabelle Atkinson - silver on vault

    Masie Kennard - Bronze on floor and 3rd overall,

    Olivia O Keeffe - bronze on beam, bronze on bar, gold on floor and 1st overall making her Greater Manchester level 6 age 12 champion.

    Evie Spencer - silver on vault.

    Molly Brookes bronze on beam and gold on vault making her Greater Manchester vault champion Level 5 age 12.

    Darcey Flanagan bronze on floor and silver on vault
