Middleton Gymnastics Club (M.G.C)

Middleton Gymnastics Club was officially established in 1986 and is directed by Mr Glenn Prendergast (Head of Coaching). The club is a voluntary not for profit community organisation and therefore is solely responsible for all of its own running costs.

The club is situated in the former school of Demesne, Langley, Middleton; after many years being pushed in and out of different premises, having to repeatedly relocate to make way for the development of new homes we have finally settled here and truly made it our own.

MGC aim to promote the sport of gymnastics within the local community and its surrounding areas, enabeling children of all ages to have the opportunity to participate in one of the most exciting sports of our time, while in a safe and fun environment.

We have a great set of enthusiastic coaches, 99% of which are ex-gymnasts who have now progressed and moved into coaching though our coach development programme. We consider this to be advantageous to us as it brings a wealth of knowlege, experience and understanding to the gymnasts we teach.

All our coaches are fully qualified and CRB checked, and deliver well structured programmes to ensure each child is seen as an individual and achieves successes in a vareity of forms such as: developing confidence, balance, a healther lifestyle, co-ordination, social and communication skills are just a few.
